What do you do for work?
I'm currently a police officer for the Village of Mundelein.
What other interests do you have outside the gym?
I love playing ice hockey and camping/hiking.
I've been married to my beautiful wife Julie for 10 years and we have two amazing children Abby and Caleb.
What are your favorite exercises?
My favorite exercise are power cleans.
What are your least favorite?
My least favorite exercise are thrusters.
Why do you do CrossFit?
I've worked out in some way for a long time but never really got anywhere. I don't get burned out at crossfit because the workouts are always changing. The enviroment is fun and the coaches are very knowledgeable and helpful. I've never been as strong as I am right know.
Are there any goals you have achieved while doing CrossFit?
My main goal when I started was just overall fitness. What I've learned is that if you only go to class but neglect your nutrition you will not reach your fitness goals. Since I have been focusing on my nutrition with coach Sarah I have lost 40 pounds since October and I feel great. I'm continuing to use the nutrition plan from the gym and plan on getting down another 25 pounds.
